The Atelier · How it’s made

Made by hand, the slow way.

No moulds run by the thousand, no plating, no shortcuts. Every OWATCH ME piece is built from solid gold and loose stones, and finished by hand in the atelier — the way fine jewelry was always meant to be made.

Material first

The value is in the metal and the stones — so that’s where we start.

We buy solid 18k gold and loose diamonds, graded for cut, clarity and colour, before anything is designed. Nothing is hollowed out to cut weight, nothing is plated to fake a finish. The piece is exactly what it appears to be.

From there it’s drawn, modelled and weighed — proportion settled on paper and in wax — long before a goldsmith picks up a torch.

The Process

From raw gold to the finished piece — five deliberate steps.

01

Source

It starts with the raw material — solid 18k gold and loose, hand-picked diamonds. Never plated, never filled. What goes in is what you wear.

02

Design

Each piece is drawn and modelled to proportion — the line, the weight, the way it sits and moves — before a single stone is cut.

03

Fabricate

Goldsmiths cut, solder and shape every link and band by hand in the atelier. Built as structure, to last decades — not a season.

04

Set

Stones are set one by one under the loupe — matched for cut and colour, secured, and aligned so the light runs clean across the piece.

05

Finish

Hand-polished to a mirror, inspected in full, and certified before it ever leaves us. The quiet part, done right.

What it’s made of

“Solid 18k gold. Hand-picked VS diamonds, matched stone for stone. Set under the loupe and polished by hand. Nothing about it is shortcut — that’s the whole point.”
