The Yacht-Master took the architecture of a dive watch and redirected it at the deck: the same Oyster case and rotatable bezel, but tuned for regatta and open water rather than descent.
This is the 126622, and the material is the story. Rolex calls the combination Rolesium: a 40 mm Oystersteel case closed by a bidirectional bezel machined from solid 950 platinum, its raised polished numerals standing off a sandblasted platinum ground.
The rhodium dial answers it — silver in shade, almost white in sun. The calibre 3235 gives roughly seventy hours. It is the quietest way Rolex has found to put a precious metal on a steel watch.
